17th - 22nd October 2013

The second North Wales International Poetry Festival will take place in various venues around north Wales between the 17th and 22nd of October 2013.

This will be an unique opportunity to hear many distinguished international poets read in Wales (or in some cases the UK) for the first time. International poets include:

Astrid Lampe (Netherlands) 
Martin Solotruk (Slovakia) 
René van Valckenborch (Belgium) 
Hasmik Simonian (Armenia)  
Josep Lluís Aguiló (Catalonia)


There will also be musical performances from internationally acclaimed musicians Carla Rees (microtonal flute) and Heather Roche (clarinets) as well as from north Wales groups Hel Dinky, Hot Dawg Assassins and Normal Shed Uses.

There will also be contributions from Welsh writers and poets including Twm Morys, Rhys Trimble, Nia Davies, Aneirin KaradogJason Walford Davies and Karen Owen.

Events will take place in Bangor, Mold, Aberystwyth, Caernarfon and Portmeirion.
